Every spring Global Wonders releases a new line of stunning handcrafted jewelry, created by incredibly inspiring women who have escaped lives of sexual exploitation. And every year those who attend the annual Spring Bling event held right here in Calgary are the first to see and have access to purchase these jewels for a cause!
This year's event was absolutely lovely and such a pleasure to photograph. With horderves served by the amazing staff at the Danish Canadian Club, live violin music & fresh flowers designed by Lori Bjorkman of Lorie's Pots and Projects. The main event was a fashion show sponsored Global Wonders style ambassador Becky Kung of the blog Velvet & Vino, who did an amazing job styling & coordinating the show and LE CHÂTEAU who provided all the beautiful outfits worn by the models. Make-up was done by a fantastic group of artists from The Body Shop. Thanks to all the lovely models who volunteered their time be a part of this evening as well as the dedicated team of Servants Anonymous Foundation volunteers who worked behind the scenes serving in numerous ways to make the evening the grand success that is was.
Finally I want to acknowledge all the wonderful women who attended this event, who not only got some stylish new jewelry but became educated about human trafficking and gave so generously & compassionately. Truly the most beautiful part of the whole evening, was seeing women touched by the stories of other women and wanting to make a difference.
