well, hello there!
I'm chenoa
I started taking pictures young, around age twelve when my parents gave me my first film camera one Christmas morning. That camera came everywhere with me! Several years latter I made the switch from film to digital & loved the new found freedom of being able to take as many pictures as my heart desired! After high school I started my photography education at the Institute of Photographic Studies (IPS) & two weeks latter I photographed my very first wedding for a friend. The rest as they say, is history.
Ansel Adams once said, "We don't make a photograph just with a camera, we bring to the act of photography all the books we have read, the movies we have seen, the music we have heard, and the people we have loved." This is so true and why it is important to me that you are here on my bio page. Before my career started I was the girl who who took way too many pictures because I never wanted to forget those day to day memories with my own family.
I believe that life is a gift from God and should be lived fully. For me this means always being on the look out for beauty, enjoying as many sunsets as possible and remembering to count my blessings often. My sisters are my best friends and no one can make me laugh like my little brother can. I think that road trips are always a good idea. And I never say no to a long chat with a friend over a good cup of tea.
That day back in the fall of 2007 when I shot my friends wedding, I fell in love with being behind the camera on such a meaningful day and have since become quite passionate about serving couples on their wedding day! I honestly, just love weddings!
I also adore little kids way too much not too keep photographing families as well. So here I am a wedding and family photographer, who is so grateful for the incredible Let There Be Light Couples and Families who have trusted me to capture their precious memories and become friends in the process. This is more than just my job, photography has become one of my favourite ways to love people, and remind them how valuable they are.
