Weddings
Weddings will always be my favourite. They are breathtakingly beautiful. They are surprisingly unpredictable. They are deeply meaningful.
Weddings sum up the reason I became a photographer in the first place, they are one day of your life that you never want to forget. Months of planning and years of dreaming all unfold in a matter of hours! You make the most important promises you'll ever make to the person you love most, while surrounded by all your dearest people who've traveled from near and far be with you! You smile until your face hurts and dance the night away! But it all happens so fast! and it's over before you know it! All those details you spent hours carefully putting together, your flower girl trying on the wedding dress, the expression on your parents faces during the ceremony...these are all moments you want to have to look back on.
That's where I come in. I want to be your eyes that day to see and capture all the meaningful moments as they unfold. My goal is to help you enjoy your wedding day to the fullest and knowing that you will have those memories to look back on and relive. I do my best to maintain the fine balance between directing and observing in order to sincerely capture the beauty intrinsic to each couples wedding. We always shoot weddings as a team of two to ensure we cover all the important moments. We love being able to document the full story, beginning with the bride getting ready in the morning and shooting until the sun sets or you share your first dance!
I find outdoor weddings irresistibly charming! While we are based in Calgary we often shoot weddings in the many gorgeous little towns and out of the way locations around the province, so if your getting married on an acreage or in a garden, that sounds lovely! We've also been known to adventure to far away places. So if your planning a wedding outside of Alberta, don't be shy, we'd love to hear from you!
Let There Be Light bride and grooms are sentimental souls who know that memories they make on thier wedding day are irreplaceable and a treasure that will only increase in value over time. We want our couples to enjoy their entire wedding day and be excited about collaborating with us to create amazing photographs that will bring back the best of memories for many years to come. Whether that means kissing in the rain or sneaking away from the reception at golden hour, they never regret the result! We promise to be there with our camera's in hand smiling as we capture the moments you never want to forget!
Let There Be Light Engagement Sessions
Engagement is often short season in your journey as couple, but will likely be one of the most exciting and a memorable times you will share! Let's capturing a bit of your unique story and personality as a couple in a way that you might not have time to on your wedding day.
We've found engagement sessions to be a perfect way to get comfortable with being in front of the camera (and for the ladies it is a great opportunity to do a trial run with your make-up.)
Because it's just the two of you, this is your opportunity to go to a location that is significant to you as a couple or be a bit more adventurous than you would be in your wedding clothes. (not that we mind wedding day adventures!) If you're planning ahead it's also great way to have images for your invites, a website or displaying at your wedding!
For most couples an engagement session will be part of their wedding package, but if you are looking for just engagement photos - A la carte engagement sessions are $500
